"The "Our Memory" initiative seeks to create 78 parallel events across Israel, taking place at the conclusion of the state ceremonies on the eve of Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and victims of terrorism. The initiative aims to create communal, intimate, and small spaces that allow participants to share stories, memories, and thoughts in a close dialogue.
The exact mix and content of each meeting are flexible and determined according to the spirit of the event's leaders, which is a basic characteristic that allows each community to incorporate content suited to them. At the heart of the meetings is the desire to generate personal and open dialogue, which builds group memory from individual memory.
